On behalf of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), it is my great pleasure and honour to warmly welcome you all to the 17th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ACPE) here in Hong Kong!

We are delighted to co-host this important meeting together with the University of Hong Kong (HKU). This partnership reflects not only the strength of collaboration between institutions but also the vital role of open exchange, shared learning, and mutual support in advancing pharmacoepidemiology—particularly in times that call for resilience and innovation.

This year’s conference brings together researchers, practitioners, and experts from across Asia and around the globe. By uniting diverse disciplines and perspectives, we hope to strengthen scientific dialogue, foster meaningful connections, and broaden the impact of pharmacoepidemiology in improving health worldwide. Throughout the meeting, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge through engaging educational sessions, gain fresh insights from inspiring keynote lectures and symposia, and explore the breadth of research presented in our paper sessions.

Equally important, ACPE is a place to connect with colleagues, meet new friends, and lay the foundation for future collaborations. Our social program is designed to encourage networking in a relaxed setting, and we warmly invite you to take part in these activities. And of course, beyond the conference itself, Hong Kong offers a truly unique backdrop: a vibrant city where tradition and modernity meet, rich with cultural landmarks, historic neighbourhoods, and endless opportunities to enjoy world-class cuisine and experiences.

Welcome from ACPE2025 Local Host & Conference Chair

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Hong Kong for the 17th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ACPE 2025), co-hosted by The International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU). This event, taking place from 21–23 November 2025, will bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to advance the fields of pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance and data sciences in Asia and beyond.

The scientific programme will feature distinguished international experts who will share insights on the latest research, emerging trends, and key challenges. We are also delighted to provide a platform for students and early-career researchers to present their work through oral presentations, posters, interactive sessions, and roundtable discussions. Alongside academic discussions, the conference will facilitate networking with peers, industry partners and government representatives fostering collaborations that drive progress in drug safety and outcomes research across pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance and data sciences.

The Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research (CSMPR) at The University of Hong Kong has led ongoing contributions in pharmacovigilance research since its establishment in 2012. This conference serves as a pivotal platform to advance global collaborations in evidence-based practice and policy decision-making. We are particularly excited to host this event in Hong Kong, a vibrant international city that beautifully blends Eastern and Western cultures. Beyond the conference sessions at HKU, we hope you’ll have time to experience Hong Kong’s unique energy, from its spectacular harbour views to its rich culinary traditions.

We welcome delegates from across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America for what promises to be both a scientifically enriching and personally memorable experience.
